For years now I’ve wanted to host a Galentine’s dinner. We would wear red or pink, leave the men and littles at home for a couple of hours and converse over love-themed, botanical cocktails. This year I decided to go for it, partly because I found this restaurant in Old Fort Mill, Southern Sugar, whose ambiance has such feminine charm it made thee perfect spot for a Galentine’s gathering to celebrate friendships.
Last Friday night 18 of us got together for a Galantine’s dinner and it was everything I had hoped it would be. I don’t know if the other women share my sentiment, but I would like to start making this an annual thing! I enjoyed the planning and wanted to share some details and inspiration–just in case you want to host your own Galentine’s dinner. 
Host a Galentine’s Dinner
Invitations: I decided to forgo facebook and use Paperless Post for the invites because I love their designs. And even though they are sent via email or text, there is an almost tangible-paper quality to them.
Location: Southern Sugar wine room: Midnight blue walls, modern crystal chandeliers and a 20- person capacity made this a fabulous, intimate setting.

Loved all of the little touches like the water complete with cucumber heart cut-outs.
Events Coordinator: Many of the smaller restaurants have servers and managers that wear multiple hats. Briana helped me with seating set up, special menu design and in choosing the ultra important…signature cocktails. She was also our server later that night and did a beyond excellent job.

Decor: I do enjoy a reason to shop for themed decorations. I found the large glitter hearts, glittery table scatter and the red heart placemats all at my local dollar tree. The milk chocolate mini lips I got from Amazon. These were adorable and perfect for a Galentine theme.
These chocolate lips came in a variety of lipstick colored foils. 
Galentine Gifts: I wanted to gift each friend with a girly present to pamper. I love the sheet masks from Alicia Yoon’s affordable Korean beauty line, Peach Slices. For a special touch I hot glued a glitter heart onto the packaging of each mask as a Valentine.
